The idea of planting Sauvignon vines in our company was decided 25 years ago by noting the similarity of the mix of our soils with those of some areas of Bordeaux. Despite the total absence of this variety in our region, and therefore a previous experience to which relate, the temptation was too great for us not to try to reproduce this wine, with hints of wet grass and the characteristic fruity flavor. Thus was born our Ghiaiolo, which arises from the "gravel", which can boast the distinction of being the first Sauvignon Blanc produced in Abruzzo where today, many years later, some other winemakers refer to.
